Dear Friends of the Bookstore With great sadness we are CLOSING OUR DOORS. Due to high gas prices, lack of walk-in customers and parking issues, we can no longer keep the retail business going. We first want to thank you for the past 4 ½ years, the opportunity to get to know each one of you and to serve you. We will become an online store only with a much smaller inventory at a different location, 116 W. Main St.,(Mission Control Lan Gaming Center), just down the street. There is easy access from the parking lot for order pick up. Brenda and Larry will finally get to retire and Vicki and Mark will do the online sales. They will also do any special searches and/or orders that you may request. You may leave a message on the same phone number (317-837-5640) with your requests. We are not sure of the exact date we will close so come in and get great deals and see us before the doors close for good. Starting Aug 1st we will be running a 50% off merchandise sale. This sale does not include commissioned items, drinks, and miscellaneous listed items. If you have credit on record with us, please come in and redeem it as soon as possible. The 50% off sale does not apply toward your credit.

The question I pose may be queried thus: Is it the Bookstore that is Uncommon, or merely the Corner upon which the Bookstore is located? I would argue that while the Corner is, in fact, rather Uncommon by Plainfield standards, being a Corner located in an older part of town, and one of the few Corners in the city which benefits from not only a crosswalk, but a pedestrian crossing signal as well, the Bookstore itself is far less common, and should therefore be recognized the more Uncommon of the two.
